Replacement timber casement windows with double glazing plus additional internal joinery.

This delightful former estate cottage was cold and damp with poorly fitting single glazed windows. Our brief was to carefully design and suitably detail timber casement windows with double glazing in congruence with original architectural features. The internal walls were dry lined by a specialist contractor, with special attention paid to increased reveal depths with new extended window cills that received original architrave features to the internal surrounds.

The new window elements blend in seamlessly with the increased depth so that the work undertaken looks original. The project also included a built-in window seat, internal and external doors with beaded moulds and a contemporary oak dining table.

We submitted drawings and liaised with local building control and the conservation officer on behalf of our client.
